Sprint launching 4G wireless service in KC area
Sprint Nextel Corp. launches its faster wireless service in much of the Kansas City area today, just ahead of Friday’s sale of the first 4G phones nationally. Kansas City joins 33 other markets in which Sprint has launched its faster mobile technology. Sprint uses the WiMax network being built by Clearwire Corp. and has been pressing its 4G advantage over other carriers in its marketing.
