@ 133tmk Typing ipconfig/release than typing ipconfig/renew will only renew your internal IP address.

  6. enyawix on June 12th, 2010 9:51 pm

wtf why wipe all your router setting just to renew your external ip address. just log into the router and renew your ip address.

  7. Zin0thaman on June 12th, 2010 10:38 pm

Just go to command, run ipconfig/release.. then ipconfig/renew… who the fk would reboot ur router to fabrical settings.. that leaves it with no firewall .. jesus

You probably have a static IP set up on your router, not a DHCP.

    And for PC’s?

  23. xonealpha on June 13th, 2010 7:04 am

go to any IP address Locator sites on the internet and you can find the changes.

  24. xonealpha on June 13th, 2010 7:44 am

this way is right when you want to renew your computer’s IP , but what he was saying is how to get the modem a new ip address from the ISP

  25. JimminyPricket on June 13th, 2010 7:45 am

Most ISPs will not assign you a new IP addy that easily.
Your MAC address will opo up when you reconnect and most of the time they just assign you the same IP you already had.

  26. hyperzdi on June 13th, 2010 8:32 am

Thank you. I’m going to try this. 5 stars. I dunno what I’d do w/out u sometimes :)

I wanted to ask u a Q. Few mos. ago my video started breaking up & now both my vid & sound break when I watch vids. The vids watch in frames. Now behind the vid face I see a mess telling me s/t about Java – wanted to give u that info.

What could be the problem? I tried doing what my Dell sol cntr says to do reducing the speed of both sound & vid. They’re at the lowest setting poss. now. What can I do? Plz help.
