How do I block high frequency broadband signals from my modem?

Can you answer Alvin York’s question about DSL?:

My modem with my broadband internet emits a very high frequency which is very disturbing to my girlfriend who is sensitive to high frequencies since she suffered a brain injury several years ago.

Dial up does not bother her, but the broadband does, it nearly drives her mad and she must leave the room.

Will placing the modem in a lead lined film pouch block the frequency?

Thank you, this is a real problem.
