Verizon FiOS – Enjoy Your Online Entertainment

Of course you use the Internet for business and take advantage of the availability of news and other important information. But everyone needs to take a break and have some fun occasionally, even you. With the online entertainment options available from Verizon FiOS, you’ll find something for everyone in your home to enjoy.

If you’re a gamer or have a gamer in your household, Verizon FiOS is a great way to feed your habit. With the Verizon Arcade, you’ll have access to the hottest games on demand from Verizon. You’ll also get the latest game reviews to keep you up to date on what’s coming, and gaming industry news so you’ll never be out of the loop. And if you’re not a gamer now, you may find yourself drawn to gaming after you see what’s available from Verizon FiOS.

Games are only the beginning of the entertainment features from Verizon FiOS. Movie buffs will love the reviews and trailers available on Verizon, and the exclusive interviews with stars and directors. With Verizon Fios, you’ll have all the information you need about your favorite stars, directors and movies.

And if you love music, you’re going to absolutely love Verizon FiOS. Log on for great music videos from your favorite artists, as well as an extensive selection of music reviews. Find new music or find out what the critics are saying about the newest releases. And while you’re checking out music, take a listen to features mixes exclusively from Verizon.

Verizon FiOS’s entertainment content is only one reason you should switch to this new service, of course. With Verizon FiOS, you get fiber-optic Internet connection all the way into your home. Cable Internet offers fiber-optic only to the curb; only Verizon brings it all the way to your computer. This means you get much faster Internet access.

Because Verizon FiOS’s signal travels exclusively on fiber-optic lines, you’ll also have much more reliable Internet access, so whether you’re using the Internet for work or fun, you can count on Verizon to get you online and keep you online. You’ll appreciate this if your Internet provider is prone to outages; Verizon is simply more reliable.

Verizon FiOS is also cheaper than cable or DSL, with monthly rates starting at only .99. You’ll no doubt agree that paying less money for faster, more reliable service just makes sense. Given a choice, who wouldn’t want to get more for less?

With your one-year contract, Verizon FiOS installation is free. A professional Verizon installation technician will come to your home at your convenience, install the wiring and software in your computer, get you on the Internet, install any necessary wall jacks and port your phone service to Verizon FiOS if necessary, and make sure everything is working correctly. You’ll get a welcome kit with answers to all your questions about Verizon FiOS, and you’ll be ready to go before the tech leaves your home.

With a vast array of entertainment content, faster access, better service and free installation, Verizon FiOS is the obvious choice for home Internet access.

5 Ways Verizon Fios is Raising the Bar

5 Ways Verizon Fios is Raising the Bar

For a long time there have been only two choices when it comes to Internet service: dial up, or broadband. Now the introduction of the new Verizon FiOS fiber optic Internet connection has raised the bar and given consumers a new choice when it comes to fast and reliable Internet service. Verizon FiOS is leading the way in the technological overhaul of the communications industry to make Internet service, phone service and digital TV service much more accessible to everyone and more reliable. Verizon FiOS has raised the bar for Internet services in five ways:

1. Innovation – The Verizon FiOS network is the first multi media communication network build on a fiber optic frame. Satellite and cable companies that offer broadband Internet service still use outdated copper wiring as the frame for their networks, and dial up providers still use landline phone wiring. Fiber optics allows the Verizon FiOS Internet service to be faster and more reliable than traditional broadband. Using fiber optics is still new in the mass technology field and Verizon is the first company to undertake the development of an entirely fiber optic network.

2. Cost – Even though the cost of building a huge fiber optic network was immense, the Verizon FiOS Internet service is available to consumers for about the same price as traditional broadband Internet service. In many places people that sign up for the Verizon FiOS Internet service actually pay less than they would pay for slower satellite DSL or cable Internet service. Cost is a big issue for a lot of people when it comes to Internet service. Verizon knows that value is important to customers and offers great introductory pricing deals, specially priced service bundles, and other options that will help people save money on their services.

3. Speed – There is no comparison between Verizon FiOS Internet service and cable or satellite Internet service when it comes to speed. The top tier speed for most cable companies is about 8 mega bytes per second. The lowest speed of Verizon FiOS is 5 mega bytes per second, so the lowest Verizon speed is almost as fast as the fastest cable Internet connection. And the Verizon FiOS Internet service can go up to a whopping 30 mega bytes per second. That is the fastest Internet connection on the consumer market today.

4. Availability – The Verizon FiOS Internet service is still being rolled out in some areas because of complications from franchise agreements but the company is working on being able to offer Verizon FiOS high speed Internet service to customers all over the country. Satellite Internet can be difficult to some areas and in other areas national cable conglomerates have been the only choice consumers have had for Internet service. Soon that will change as the Verizon FiOS Internet service becomes more readily available.

5. Technology – The Verizon FiOs Internet service combined with the Verizon FiOs digital TV service and digital VOIP phone service uses equipment that is on the cutting edge of technology to give their customers more choices, better service, faster Internet, and great prices with easy to use and understand equipment.

Verizon FiOS has raised the bar in many ways as they change the way consumers access the internet, phone service and digital TV.

Verizon FiOS Phone – Get the Digital Quality Phone Service You Want For Less

A lot of people these days have abandoned home phone service to use cell phone exclusively, but there are still millions of people that prefer the reliability of a home phone service like Verizon FiOS. Using a cell phone for home service can be unreliable since if the phone breaks or the battery is dead, you would be without phone service and making long distance calls or going over your cell phone minutes can get very expensive very quickly.

If you are going to have a home business or if you have small children at home, it’s much better to have dedicated home phone service than to just use a cell phone. Verizon FiOS phone service sets the industry standard for home phone service and more than a million people use Verizon FiOS phone service because of the clarity and reliability that it provides.

Verizon FiOS home phone service isn’t your grandfather’s phone service. It’s state of the art cutting edge digital phone service delivered directly to your home through a fiber optic cable. Traditional phone lines use ordinary copper cables that are slow and sometimes unreliable.

If you also have cable TV and Internet or DSL Internet, your TV and Internet services are also using the same cable that was put in for your phone service. That leads to massive slowdowns because there is information for all three services trying to use the same cable at the same time, and there’s only so much information that an ordinary cable can handle.

But when you switch to Verizon FiOS home phone service, even if you have Verizon FiOS Internet and TV services the information pipeline that is coming to your home is huge in comparison to a small traditional cable. The fiber optic cables that are used by Verizon FiOS are lightning fast and can handle huge loads of information meaning that you won’t get dropped calls or interrupted calls, Internet slowdowns or TV delays even when you’re using all three services at the same time.

The fiber optic cable that is used by Verizon FiOS also means that you get digital phone clarity with home phone convenience. If you do a lot of long distance calling you won’t have to struggle to hear the person on the other end no matter how far away they are. You also can get all the same features that cell phones offer like digital voice mail, call waiting, callback and other popular features.

There is a wide variety of packages and plans that you choose from when you switch to Verizon FiOS home phone service and you can even keep your phone number. When you add Verizon FiOS TV and Internet to your home phone service plan you can save even more and get the reliability and speed of fiber optic TV service and Internet.

Not everyone needs to have home phone service but if you do, or if you feel more comfortable having home phone service instead of just cell phone service you should consider switching to Verizon FiOS. Combining all of your telecommunications needs like TV, Internet and phone services can cut the cost of your monthly bills significantly.
